Our company https://triare.net/ would like to take part in Square hackathon, so I have a few questions:
1. If our registered office is in the United States, can our company participate?
2. We want to update apps, so if we will win (First place winners in each category receive $3,000 for themselves, $3,000 to donate to a small business of their choice, a Google Home, Square Swag, and promotion on Square’s Twitter and YouTube channel. ) Promotion will be about our company or our app?

3. How much does it cost to participate in a hackathon?
4. How long does it take to complete the task (hours/days/weeks)?

    Hey Boris!

Good questions. I'll do my best to answer each one:

    1. Yes, if you're registered in the US and otherwise eligible based on the rules, then you can participate.
    2. Promotion would be about the winning application.
    3. There is no cost to participate!
    4. This one is hard to answer. If you are updating an existing app, I'd expect it wouldn't take as long as building from scratch. Aside from the build time that I can't really estimate, I would give yourself at least a few hours to complete the submission form and demo video.

Please don't wait until the last day! That's when submitters run into trouble. You can start your submission form at any time and continue updating it until the deadline, in case you want to see what is asked.

    Hope you participate!
